They are not as popular as you think. They are a ah, side-effect if you will. BD tries to make it as inconvenient for subs o exist as possible, but of course, they still exist.

There is no difference between a sub and an ally. Such vague concepts cant be made official. If so what would be the definition? Where would you draw the line between a sub and an ally. I think concepts regarding subs have been discussed at length. Its a very grey area. Personally I think everyone should just fight and stop bein sissies.

Subs and allies are different. Allies do not to your whim. If I have a sub, I expect them to follow my orders to the letter. Then again, I hate subs and I think everyone who uses them is a coward
