a far sight or satellite scan (as they're called on Earth/mars), allows you to see things outside of your radar range. It costs 20 energy/mana for 5 ticks, and +2 mana/energy for every extra tick you want.

if seen it that you can make a far sight on a colony does center the scan like the colonies radar range or gives info about the colony like units in target

a little tips, it's recommended to have a constant far sight or satellite scan on ur colony, u won't know when ur colony and every radars around u got jammed

I would find that more useful during times of war unless your in a smaller alliance where you can constantly afford to use energy on non-important things. >.<
