I've been thinking that it seems like having one chassis in an alliance might actually be a weakness to spy attacks. I have never actually noticed a clear advantage to having one chassis. It also makes an alliance easily damaged by one type of weaponery(for example, someone might use concussive weapons against someone with infantry chassis).
Perhaps it would be better to use all three of whatever the plural of chassis is(or maybe just inf and vehicles because they have 25% bonus).
Doing a lot of advanced scans could be useful to someone who uses all three (for example, if an enemy has mostly beam weapons in an OP striking with infantry and tanks would fight them in a way the enemy is not prepared for.

The reason many prefer one alliance chassis is that very often a war ends with a big battle between two alliances' full armies, or at least close to it.
In such a case a single chassis is much preferred to multi-chassis, since your enemy will inevitably have built both concussive, beam and explosive and they would all do full damage. If you have just a single chassis (for example inf) their beam and explosive does a lot less damage.

What Milan has stated is completely true but I guess I could expound on that in case you like to see the numbers. If you have a pure inf army like the situation Milan proposed your army will take 100% damage from their concussive weapons, 50% damage from their explosive weapons, and only 25% damage from their beam weapons. So if their units attack point are 4 your infantry would take 4 damage from the concussive, 2 damage from the explosive, and only 1 damage from the beam. If however you have all 3 chassis types then each weapon type would do its maximum amount of damage to each chassis. Obviously that will result in much more damage and losses to you.

also another thing for having mixed chasis is that the range units are a lot more vulnerable say you have less infantry then tanks, the ranged units for the infantry will die 1st while the armour for the tanks are still alive, having 1 chasis all your armour can protect all of your range, that's the main reason for using 1 chasis

Okay, you guys have made some important points. Also, I have thought of some new ideas as I was reading what you guys were saying. Making a main army with one chassis with the pro build is best, I know, but perhaps making a few of my squads with more than one chassis and damage in their upgrade builds would be useful for small battles.

On top of that - less of your XP will go to the tanks! Win Win!
Thank me later. Learn from this guy Korupt and Milanos are lying to you But honestly, listen to those 2, they know what they are talking about
