The brave angel traveled all night, till morning. Nobody chased after him.

In Heaven, there's a cave near God's throne. Light and darkness take turns coming out of it and travel through Heaven, like day and night.
Night there is like twilight on Earth.

Abdiel saw the whole plain covered with squadrons of chariots, reflecting the morning light.

He could see God's army was ready for war. Apparently they already knew what he was coming to report.

He was happy to be home. They all greeted him and praised him for being the only one of all of Satan's followers who wouldn't rebel against God.
They brought him before God's throne.

God's gentle voice said, Well done, Abdiel. You held your own against the pack.

The truth made you stronger than them, with all their weapons.
In return you were mocked, and had to face all their contempt. That can be tougher to take than violence. But you only cared about getting my approval.

Your next victory will be much easier. You'll go back and fight them, backed up by my whole army. You left there being ridiculed, but you'll return in glory.
We'll have to use force against those who reject their rightful King Messiah and his laws.

Michael, you are my highest military leader.
And Gabriel, next in rank, both of you go lead my army in battle against the rebels. Take as many thousands as you need to equal theirs. Use whatever weapons you need. Drive them right out of Heaven into their place of punishment. Hell is wide open and ready for them to fall into it.

All of God's powerful army came out when they heard it. It motivated them to go fight.

On they went. Hills and woods were no obstacle. They just flew over them.

It was like when all the different kinds of birds came to get their names from you, Adam, all perfectly lined up.

They traveled a very long distance.

Finally they could begin to see shields and spears, spread all across the horizon. It was Satan's army, speedily advancing.

Satan's forces had planned to take God by surprise and take over his throne, but they could see that wasn't going to work.

We may find it hard to imagine gentle creatures like angels fighting a war, but that's exactly what happened next.

Two questions remain....
The first, will there be war has been answered. The second, who plays God and who plays Satan in this struggle of Mars 3 remains.

There is one who will be betrayed, the strongest, and most loyal will turn on their master...and their knife strike will not be seen until it has hit its target. The mighty should watch their back, their greatest strength can become their greatest weakness and turn victory into defeat. Destiny has already dealt her hand, the wager has been made, and the dealer has called....the time to lay the cards is near.

We watch, as the one clothed in the colors of their master, the master's most beloved, prepares to strike. The fates play their games. Letters on a banner mean little. What will happen when your own letters move against you? When those within your circle betray you? Those you talk to....plan with....consult....aim their knife were no other would know. You've let into your inner circle your greatest enemy. The reflection in the mirror.

We are simply looking in.....watching the bartered deal transacted. I promise this will get Very.....interesting. Pretend Others Betray at your own peril.

A bit of mystery wrapped in allegory, that a traveling man might understand. But obviously to you, nothing.....

Milton's Paradise Lost is one of the great literary works from antiquity. If nothing else perhaps it will introduce you to a topic which might enlighten your imagination and curiosity. ....Perhaps not. That question only you can answer.

I assure you it is not spam, and is quite relevant to current affairs on Mars 3. There are those that will grasp its meaning, and there are those that will only get some hints of its allegorical meaning....of things to come....

It is simply something to ponder while the orchestra warms up.

It is not spam, it is the prelude to a drama unfolding...

my brothers, The Knights of the Fulcrum will know, as some of the Very interested....and perhaps those who Pretend only Others Betray....perhaps Some other Travelers, and those Doomed to watch as well....might know.

We can not be sure....Who utters the Truth and who Lies.

But we do know its going to get interesting.....

Forgive me for filling the pause with some play on words, historically significant literature, and allegory, in my modest effort to bring some interest and intrigue to my fellow players.

In the very least I hope it provides some enjoyment and something to ponder.

This is actually a pretty good thread. I am not on M3 so I cant figure out exactly what the text means, but I didnt put in any effort either.

Yeah it is interesting. We are in a bit of a lull, I was bored...and the situation we find ourselves reminded me of something....and then I remembered Milton. Chapter 6 is very relevant to our current situation. What can I say, I do have a flare for the dramatic.

I believe its going to get interesting. But I don't want to give to much.
