So how is the winner decided? Randomly or based on the number of views/likes?

Because I understand that the admin will usually pick someone they are familiar with or a supporter rather than one who produces the finest product.

I disagree, most likely the ones chosen will be the ones that stand out. TO be honest if they're going to be doing this on a weekly basis at some point your video will be shown as I don't imagine they'll get tonnes of entries.
