Alright guys there is an interesting new feature being added to the protection system very soon(Hopefully by the end of the day

)! Instead of the old style of ticks processing every minute while under protection(The one currently in use in the old client) being added to the new client there is going to be a new button added that will allow you to instantly get out of protection. What this will do is give you 50 metal and oil for every tick left in your protection and break your protection immediately. This gives you a nice lump sum bonus but the drawback is that you will be susceptible to enemy attack! You can either take your time and stay protected while building up or shed your blue bubble and take on the world right away!
