Mass Suicide Barely Avoided
Earlier today, roughly 11:54 AM Eastern Standard Time, the Massively Online Multiplayer BrowserBased Game "BattleDawn", went down without warning, stranding hundreds of users without access to their precious entertainment through the holidays. The sudden crash was preluded by the games time system, marked by ‘Ticks’, failed to pass at their scheduled times. This appeared to be the average frozen tick, experienced frequently in BattleDawn, but after several hours of the ticks failing to pass, people began to get agitated. Resources weren’t being collected, troops weren’t traveling, and battles were stopped mid-flight. These battles could very well have changed the history of many worlds.
In the middle of players constant refreshing of their game screens, there was a new problem that arose. The entire server, which hosts the BattleDawn site and game, had crashed. No one could access any data on the battledawn.com pages. Some of the most severe addicts had begun contemplating suicide. “thankgod its back”, Rildor, a BattleDawn player, stated after the server came back up. “i just got the knife to slit my wrists”. Such actions and thoughts were felt far and wide that fateful day when BattleDawn crashed. Let us hope that it doesn’t happen again soon.

lol... but if the actual server went down, i dont see why facebook would have made a difference...
