i have seen ops turned into goldmines on fantasy worlds and was wandering if anyone could tell me how to do this. i have not been able to figure it out as of yet. thanks.

There are two new types of outposts. The metal mine and the oil well. Neither of which are able to be built. They are placed on the field by the admin of that earth. You cannot make them. They provide additional gold and wood on the fantasy servers and extra metal and oil on the earth and mars servers.
