So I don't normally use gates. I know that you need to have a gate on both side in order to use them (meaning both the origin and the destination). Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, I know troops can't travel farther than 24 ticks from their origin, but, here's the question, can a troop travel further than the limited 24 ticks if there's a gate at its destination?
If that wasn't very clear, here's an example. I have troops at point A, point A is a gate. I want them to go to point B, which is 30 ticks away (if the troop was attacking an enemy outpost/colony), if point B was a gate, could the troops just teleport there?

You can't travel to a gate that is outside of the 24 tick range.

Hoped this helps! :D

You can always use more than one gate to get to your destination.
