I was just wondering if there were any rules against people paying others Credits for attacking people (such as creating an account on a server, building up over time, and then their sole purpose is to inflict damage on a specific target or alliance). I know that some would call that a spammer that was hired by the other alliance, but I'm wondering if there is anything legally wrong with actually paying someone to do it for you. I just got curious during my banned-time And NO... i dont plan to become this, or waste my money on something like this... its just a question.

If you mean real money, then that is against thr rules, if you mean giving him/her resources, then that fine! But let me be clear, you CANNOT give real money, and you CANNOT trade tokens as they are recived by paying real money!
heres a link to the rules: http://battledawn.com/battledawn/portal/?p=tos
Me and the other mods are discussng this matter wether it is ctualy against the rules or not.

but to get tokens, you need to buy them with real money. But again, me and some mods are deciding this, I personaly believe it's against the rules.

not always... you can always get bonus tokens for different events. I noticed that they added the ability to give tokens to people, even not in your alliance, through the profile part of the game.... and if trading tokens is illegal, why allow it in-game?
4.11. Tokens: You may purchase tokens which may be converted to Game Resources. Such purchase may be made by 3rd party services and with accordance to this Agreement. You may not transfer tokens or transact with other Users to convey Game Resources gained by Token purchases. You may not convey or transact in any sale or purchase of Purchased Tokens from other players against actual funds.
That part of the ToS states that you cannot give someone else tokens, so they can buy the resources, and then give them to you... and it also says that you cannot sell your tokens for actual money... no where in there does it state that we cannot give other players tokens for their 'services' IN-GAME

This is acceptable so long as you are playing in that world and your sole purpose is not to place your colony to do this one action. Tokens are acceptable because they are BD "Currency" but being paid real money outside the game would be against the rules and result in a banhammer landing on all the involved parties .
Edit: You cannot trade bonus tokens, only supporter tokens can be traded.

Andrew, how could you prevent a player FROM doing this? They could simply say they were conquering colonies, which is the purpose of the game. The fact that they had a bounty was just a bonus. I won't do this, I can buy my own tokens, I'm just curious.

ah... So essentially, i cant make an account over on M84, for the sole purpose of making troops, attacking people, and getting paid tokens for it? I also edited my above post with a section of the ToS regarding tokens... And i am also curious of how they can prevent this, unless someone confessed/turned them in

It's a pretty rare scenario and as with many types of rule breaking it would have to be heavily investigated by an admin before any action could be taken on it as there's no automatic filters that could detect this.
It is a very grey area so I highly recommend to discuss it with the admin of the world before you attempt something like this so that it doesn't come back to bite you later on!
