here are some questions by number, please answer them by number as well.

1. How do you talk in that chat bar at the bottom of the screen? Is it possible? There doesn't seem to be anyone logged into the world chat ever.
2. Can you build a 2nd city? Or do you only get another by conquering other peoples cities?
3. How do you conquer a city?
4. How do you scan an outpost to see what is there?
5. How do you see all these "Unknown outposts?"
6. How do you join an alliance? No one seems to be on.
7. Is there a maximum number of people who can be in an alliance? The most players in any alliances I see is 12, and it seems to be a common number
8. How do you relocate your castle? Does it cost anything and do the troops go with it?
9. What are outposts for??? what is the point of them? What is everything you can do with them?
10. How many players are in this world? is this the only server?
11. Someone attacked my outpost like 20 minutes after I started playing this game, wow that is fast, how did they find it? I cant even find them on the map.
12. How do bounties work?
13. What can I attack to get more resources? Does it have to be an outpost? Cant I attack the forest or desert or hills etc?
14. How do I boost production of wood? only 25 wood a tick when buildings cost thousands?? what a joke, it will take months just to get one building upgrade. I upgraded 3 times on wood and its only 25 a tick. WTF???
15. How do I sell gold for wood? It wont let me.
16. What should I build first? Obviously this is one of those super slow games that takes forever even months to do anything at all, what should I do first to make sure I dont just get wiped out as soon as im out of protection.
17. IS there anything I can do to not get wiped out instantly out of protection? Or is every noob just a farm for the guys who have been here a while?

That is it for my questions for now.

wow, just looking at all that made me want to leave =P
ok, lets begin! =D

1. thats the broadcast, everyone get to see it and you can talk there but it cost 1 energy. click the >>> by the broadcast bar (i can provide picture if you want)
2. do NOT make more colonys as that is multis and against the rules, you only have 1 conquer on each world.
3. you conquer someone else by attacking them and beating the forces they got on their colony, but you can not conquer them if
a) you are conquered
or
b) they are conquered
4. you need the spy sturcture number 1, then click on the outpost click the button who look like a "eye", then click military scan (remember that the scan might be 50% wrong)
5. unknown outposts are outposts who are outside your radar range. you can ether make radars or get temporarily radar coverage with satellite scan in the area
6. to join a alliance you need to get a invite, you can message a alliance leader and ask for a invite (alliance leaders are those with orange flags)
7. 12 is maximum on mars and fantasy, max is 14 on earth because it's a bigger map.
8. to relocate you need to make a outpost in the location you want to go to, then click it then the arrow pointing downwards. it cost 50 energy and up to 10000 oil depending on the distance.
and units stay back when you relocate
9. outposts can be used to station units on or to raze or to upgrade
raze is destroying the outpost, you get parts of the resources spent on the outposts back
the upgades are:
gates - gates are used to teleport units taking no time but using energy to move not oil
trainingbase - you can have 1 trainingbase, you can train units there as you could on your colony
radar - give radar coverage of a area nearby it so you can see the outposts in the area and moving squads
silo/dragonlair - you can make nukes/dragons there that you can send at your enemys.
10. this is the main forum, there are 14 worlds here if i remember right, and some servers on kongregate. and there are a avrage of over 2000 players on each world.
11. you can't see it on the smal map, but they probly saw you make a outpost and thought it were easy resources.
12. you can put bountys on people with poser of over 50 or those who conquered you. it was made to encurage people to kill those with high bountys. to claim the bounty you need to be unconquered, then you need to win a battle at that persons battle.
13. you got structures who give you resources, but you can also get resources by capturing outposts and razing them. you also get resources by conquering others, and conquering resource outposts. and you can not attack forrest or dessert hill as battledawn is not devided into areas to take over.
14. it's 25 each tick, but i think it should be higher tho. also you can vote for battledawn for extra 250 resources a day (colony->bonuses->click the pictured voting for bd).
15. you need conversion sturucture level 3 to convert metal into oil.
16. most people who start late get conquered out of protection, but that don't mean you have lost the game, you still have your colony and still have the same income but you can no longer conquer others, but even the most pro players get conquered from time to time, a good tip is to not expect to get top ranked first round, you need some time to build up a network and strategy, use the first round to learn the game.
17. you can get a alliance who help you defend. go together to be stronger.

18. i know u didn't have 18 but i wanted to say something. we have somethin called "adpot-a-newb center" where people can be assigned mentors who help them learn the game and get them better into the game and into the community. click my signatures and fill out my the form to get a mentor, they can also answer your questions ^,^

Simmen does it sloppy!

It costs 1 Energy to post a message up for a set amount of time.

Honorchamp wrote:

You may only have one colony per world, when you conquer a colony you get some of their produced resources giving you greater resource output helping you build faster.

Honorchamp wrote:
3. How do you conquer a city?

You have to launch an attack, and succeed on that attack, and make sure that the colony is not conquered already.

Honorchamp wrote:
4. How do you scan an outpost to see what is there?

Structures Needed: UAV Control or Hawk's Nest (Fantasy)
Press on the target colony or outpost and select the eye icon (top middle), there are 2 scans that you may do to check for units;
Military Scan - Gives a 50% Accuracy scan and types of units(infantry, vehicle, tanks)
Advanced Scan - Shows 25% Accuracy and the weapon type of the units(concussive, beam, explosive)

Honorchamp wrote:
5. How do you see all these "Unknown outposts?"

You need to put a satellite scan, it costs 20 energy minimum for 5 ticks view. It is found at the top left corner it looks like this;Image

Honorchamp wrote:
6. How do you join an alliance? No one seems to be on.

You may message their an alliance leader to ask if they are recruiting...most of the time they are already full and may not take interest if your rank is low, so make sure you can prove yourself.

Honorchamp wrote:
7. Is there a maximum number of people who can be in an alliance? The most players in any alliances I see is 12, and it seems to be a common number

It depends on the server;
Earth; 14 Member Alliances
Mars; 12 Member Alliances
Fantasy; 12 Member Alliances

Honorchamp wrote:
8. How do you relocate your castle? Does it cost anything and do the troops go with it?

You need to have an outpost with 24 control ticks. It costs 50 Energy/Mana and Oil/Wood based on location(distance) from the outpost and your colony.

Honorchamp wrote:
9. What are outposts for??? what is the point of them? What is everything you can do with them?

Outposts are an essential and key part of the game. It is to help you expand and take control of more land/territories.
There are several upgrades of a basic outpost;

Radar - Gives a view of a area that the radar is in.
Gate - Allows you to move units from a colony that is equipped with a gate or from gate to gate, using energy/mana instead of oil/wood.
TB - Or called a training base allows you to make units here instead of your base so you can make units at a set location.
Nuke - A Missile Silo, a strategic outpost and a deadly one if used correctly

Honorchamp wrote:
10. How many players are in this world? is this the only server?

There are currently 14 servers. You can check the player count before you select your server, you only have to be logged in and on the server select screen.

Honorchamp wrote:
11. Someone attacked my outpost like 20 minutes after I started playing this game, wow that is fast, how did they find it? I cant even find them on the map.

Well, if the question here is, how did they find it, they probably were in view of it. Many players expand and have radar range and squads around the world. It is a common thing once you've built yourself up.

Honorchamp wrote:
12. How do bounties work?

People may occasionally bounty you, you must have a minimum power of 50(unsure). But if someone conquers you, you lose the bounty and the conqueror will take it as a "reward".

Honorchamp wrote:
13. What can I attack to get more resources? Does it have to be an outpost? Cant I attack the forest or desert or hills etc?

You may attack Metal Mine/Gold Mine and Oil Wells/Lumber Mills for resource boosts, but you will have to keep these conquered (under your control).
You may attack outposts and raze them for resources but it needs to have 12 control ticks before raze. You may even attack players with bounties...if you it's a success you'll claim the bounty.

Having more workers increases resource production as well, as resource outposts (Metal Mine/Gold Mine & Oil Well/Lumber Mills), it's not hard to reach 200 for both and even more, earlier on in the game is slow production unless you get conquers which will also boost your production rate per tick.

Honorchamp wrote:
15. How do I sell gold for wood? It wont let me.

You're unable to "sell" resources. You may trade it within your alliance if you are in one and they're fine with giving in exchange. You may also convert resources to a different type for a set ratio. (Structures needed)

First off, it is VERY common for new players to get defeated early on, the purpose of this...well it gives you time to learn the game and expand on the ideas of it. Personally, I don't have what I build first or later :), But, I would build Farms and Metal Mine/Gold Mine Structures first and maybe one level of Oil / Lumber production.

You can start off late and catch up quickly in the game. As I said, being defeated in the game is very common and I'm sure all players have had this happen before :D
Just use it as a chance to learn the game and build. Being defeated is not the end of the game. It gives you a longer chance and a SAFER chance to build units to get a good score and even maybe into a alliance, which then you may be freed much more easily.

32. Why are there so many outposts all over? I notice most by an alliance group, why would you want this around you? wouldnt you just take them over and raze them?

34. How do I find the castle of someone by name?
35. How do I find those coordinates someone posts I cant get the coordinates thing to come up to post them in.
36. Can your allies send you resources? How?

19. What is the point of this if you can only have one colony and only one ever conquered? Is it to get these two cities for max production, and then just get a ton of crystals and fight to get the relics? - You can have only one colony but more than one conquer. You can have unlimited conquers.
20. Is there any way to tell if an alliance is active or not if I am looking to join one? - Broadcast a request to join an active alliance.
21. Are there any tips for finding good targets on the map? - on the map? ... hmm not quite sure what you mean, but look for low ranks and low power.
22. Can I relocate in noob protection? I dont really like where I am, I think im going to get smoked as soon as I come out of noob. - I think its possible.
23. How much resources do you get from conquering an outpost? How much do you get for conquering a colony/city? If you capture an outpost you can degrade it or raze it or just keep it( the last one won't give you any resources), if you conquer a colony the income depens of the conquered colonys production.
24. How do you get crystals? - Take from other players, use the bonus links( you need to use 200 times), and when you get enough power then you will "find" one.
25. How much do crystals boost your production? +1
26. How much do you get when you conquer someone who has a bounty? How do I see how much I would get? - If you win then you will get all of the bounty. Click on the skull and a screen will pop up of how many metal and oil you will get ( or gold and wood)
27. How do you conquer someone? - attack a colony and you must win.
28. How long does it take to scan someone with a spy? Do I need to make a camp to scan them? - When you click the eye then choose what you want to do and it will do it immedeately. But to sabotage the colony you must have your spy on it for some ticks.
29. When I get conquered and come out of conquer in 72 ticks or whatever, do I still have all my buildings? wouldn't they just conquer me again and again? - You will have all your buildings yes.
30. What the heck is an outpost for? does it get you more resources somehow? - it does not give you more resources but you can upgrade it into gate, nuke, radar or training base which you can use for moving troops, see the area, build troops or just nuke someone.

More Q,s

31. How do people get banned? I see a lot of banned cities out there. What are they trying to do that gets them banned? - multi accounts( or account sharing), credit card problems, offensive language.
32. Why are there so many outposts all over? I notice most by an alliance group, why would you want this around you? wouldnt you just take them over and raze them? - The outposts are probably radars, training bases, nukes and gates, if anyone tries to get near them they will just nuke the hell out of you or teleport on the gates to protect it. Big alliances have lots of units and its hard to take their outposts.
33. I just found 4 colonies that say conquered by Diogenes, so obviously you can conquer more than 1 at a time, how many is the limit? - There is no limit. Conquer as much as you can! :)
34. How do I find the castle of someone by name? - In the upper left corner right next to the big sattellite are 4 arrows - show location, click that and then type the rulers name of colony name there and GO, then it will find you its location.
35. How do I find those coordinates someone posts I cant get the coordinates thing to come up to post them in. - If the coords are blue then you can just click on them. If not then the same thing in Q 34 but you enter the coordinates to the upper slot.
36. Can your allies send you resources? How? - Yes they can, but they must have resource converter lvl 5.
37. Does 241 power mean they have 2,140 troops? - Power consists of troops, conquers and workers.
38. When you build an outpost can you have your troops go there immediately so as soon as it is built your troops will be there to defend it? - when you build an outpost you can send your troops there, even if the outpost is not finished constructing.
39. Can you attack from an outpost? or does it have to be a gate? - You can attack from every outpost except for camps.
40. Any tips on finding good targets to attack? - Do a scan on them, so you can see how many units they have. Also look for low ranks and low power.

41. How does upkeep work? it says workers upkeep -14, army upkeep -1. What does this mean and how do I make it better/ideal?
42. Is a Training base different from a barracks? if so, how? do you turn an outpost into one?
43. Can you build any defenses on an outpost to make it harder to kill?
44. Why dont people raze the outposts?
45. Do you have any good attack strategies?
46. Any good army making/protection strategies for newer players trying to stay alive?
47. If someone is attacking me, can I relocate out to save my behind? Can I shield or vacation?
48. Wow I just started, have been waiting 24 hours to build this wood level 5 thing, and it will be 25 MORE hours until I get enough resources for it. When are the devs going to speed up this game, wow how slow. I am used to command and conquer fast or online xbox games, this thing looks like it would take months to build anything substantial. Does it? No wonder it seems like no one is ever on, this game moves as slow as molasses in a canadian winter.
49. When you are conquered, can you still capture outposts or someones city? I think a guy did that to me, cause his castle says conquered but he took my outpost, unless he has been conquered since then.
50. What all can you do when your conquered? Dont you lose all your troops when you get conquered?

51. How do you conquer something? Just attack it and if you win, its conquered?
52. If you conquer a city, do you get all the resources in it? Do you get the crystals too?
53. Can you make crystals? How do you get them, I think I have asked this before and it has still gone unanswered.
54. Someone said the reason the outposts are still there is cause if you try to attack it, someone will just nuke you and kill all the troops. Is nuke an instant attack with no travel time? Is there nuke in fantasy worlds? and if not can this still be done in fantasy?
55. If you conquer a city, do you get the relics? How do you know who has a relic?
56. If I want to attack a city, is there any way to tell if other attacks are heading its way so im not wasting my time?
57. Is there any way to tell if someone has been online recently?
58. How do you teleport?? can you do this in fantasy?
59. If someone conquers a city, they guy who built it has to wait 72 ticks to get it back right? (plz confirm) well what if it gets conquered by someone else int hat 72 ticks, does that mean he has to wait a whole new 72 ticks on top of that? or how does it work?
60. Do archers defend better than other units? Like do your walls help anything?

41. Upkeep is the amount of workers subtracted from the 24 tick worker gain. I'm old an retired, but i think there's still a barracks, which still reduces your upkeep for your units to 0. Upkeep from workers cannot change (unless you have less workers). To less upkeep (the less the better) you must either have, less workers (but that contradicts with the gaining of workers), less units/units at barracks, or conquers. Conquers counteract with the upkeeps by giving you +1 worker every 24 ticks.
42. A training base is an upgraded barracks (still gives no upkeep from units), and unlike a barracks, you can train units directly from that location of the training base. Yes you can build it from an outpost.
43. No you cannot, but i would find that quite fun, but slightly unbalanced.
44. The people might want to upgrade it into something better rather than getting money from it.
45. Okay, this is gonna be a long one. Every player usually have different attack strategies. Grouping up with your alliance to create a concentrated attack on one single powerful colony is one of the best ways to attack a target (you are in the same alliance so you will combine forces to defeat the target). Other ways would be spies, and dragons/nukes. Spies can be used to greatly weaken an army, or even for strategic purposes (destroying lumber/oil so they may not relocate). Missiles/Dragons are more convenient (as they too, greatly weaken an entire army at an outpost). 2 tips for these last two strategies. Send your forces (or delay them) so they arrive at the same exact tick as your dragon/missiles to:
A) Maximize the effect of the damage from the missiles/dragon (as units do heal life over time).
B) Your squads/ships do not get damaged from your own dragon/missile (the damage radius is 1 tick from the target).
Spies are almost the same concept. When you want to greatly weaken their military force, do it at the last tick before your units arrive.
46. These kind of builds are very very controversial between players. So let's begin. Most experienced players usually sell their protection so they may receive a 50% bonus production resources (metal/gold and oil/lumber) for a long period of time. Energy is not included. If you started late, most people wouldn't sell their protection, but some do because they want the 50% bonus resources (it counteracts if you get conquered). as it does not tax the 50% bonus you gain a tick. Now to army making, the best unit mix in terms of unit type (armor, damage, and ranged) are usually half and half ranged and armored units (ranged usually come out slightly on top of armored). Many players believe that damage is not effective, as it is inferior to massive ranged forces. Now, the chasis types, (this is highly controversial) personally myself, i build a bunch of infantry and calvary/tanks. Other pro players prefer mechs/heavy units over all of these. I usually have more infantry than i do tanks/calvary. Now for the weapon types, (sheesh this is getting lengthy) i personally, again, controversial, mostly build beam/piercing for infantry (since infantry get a 25% bonus damage against tanks/calvary) and fewer concussive/slashing for infantry and calvary/tanks. I mostly build explosives/crushing for calvary/tanks (as they also get a 25% damage bonus on Heavy/Mechs). I usually build few, if not, never heavy/mech units. So, if you put all of what i said together, it would be something like this: (this is just an example) 25 concussive/slashing armored infantry and 25 beam/piercing armored infantry. 25 ranged concussive/slashing infantry and 50 ranged beam/piercing infantry. 20 armored explosive/crushing tanks and 15 armored concussive/slashing tanks. 30 ranged explosive/crushing tanks and 25 ranged concussive/slashing tanks. I will say this again, this is my build.
47. Yes you may relocate to save yourself from getting attacked (you will leave an outpost behind, but that's the only thing they will get). Your units will still be there, so if you do not want your units to fight, you should move them. Make sure you have enough resources too. You can also shield, shielding is delaying the incoming attack for however many ticks you have charged it. For example, there's a squad coming at you at 2 ticks, you activate a 9 tick charged shield (usually you wold activate on the last tick the squad will get to you), the attack will be delayed as long as your shield is up. So the squad takes 2 ticks to travel to your colony, then gets delayed for however much longer your shield is up. No, you may not vacation to avoid an attack, it takes 2 days to go on vacation and any attack orders will still be carried out even if you go on vacation when the ships are traveling to you.
48. Now now, don't be criticizing the game. Yes this game is pretty slow, but that depends on the world you are on (some worlds have faster ticks every hour). There are 3 tick worlds (20 minutes a tick) and every one of those ticks is like waiting an hour. If you play the game right, it does not take months to build up significant structures/army, you just need to have the right strategy, some strategies are slow paced, others are fast.
49. If you are conquered, you may not conquer other colonies until you are liberated. You may still take other people's outposts if you are conquered.
50. Well, some people consider getting conquered a good thing. It's even a strategy! It let's you build up on military and structures without having to worry that someone will attack you and mess it all up. Also, depending on the situation, you do not lose all your troops when you are conquered. If your troops are anywhere besides your colony (because those are the troops that died in battle), they will still be there when you are conquered. To become liberated, or unconquered, you can:
A) Conquer your Conquerer (overpowering his military at his base)
B) Your conquerer liberates you (whether he force relocates you, or liberates you in the goodness of his heart)
C) Rebel, this takes 24 ticks to do, and while you do this, you do not produce resources (you automatically rebel when you relocate if you are conquered).
51. Yes, it's simple as that if you win the battle.
52. No, you do not get all the resources from conquering a colony, instead you tax (14% i believe) of the income the colony receives each tick. Yes you get all of the conquered colonys' crystals.
53. You cannot make crystals. You can only gain them by receiving a total power of 20, unless you want to consider that "making" a crystal. You can get them by taking other colonies with crystals.
54. Okay, that statement isn't clear enough. One, outposts are for making strategic buildings that will help you gain key points in battles and expansion. This guy was probably joking. A nuke is a ship, if you will, that flies just like a ship full of military units at it's destination (it cannot be targeted at colonies in your alliance), so no, it is not instant. Yes, there are nukes in fantasy worlds. They are called "Dragons", and require a "Dragon's Lair" to construct them.
55. Yes, you do get the relics from conquering a city (in the old client). In the old client, you knew who had the relics for two reasons:
A) They had a special ring around their colony (not the rings for crystals).
B) It said Relics: 1 when you hover your mouse over the colony.
Now in the new client, Relics are huge giant flying outposts basically. And they can travel across the map, bringing whatever forces are on them (they are units of the owner of the relic or alliance members of the owner of the relic). Like an outpost, it can be captured. It simply just moves. Relics are spawned after a certain amount of ticks into the game by the Admin of the world you are in.
56. Yes there is. There two ways of knowing this.
A) Your radar coverage (this is the least accurate way). It will see incoming ships within your radar range for that target (or any target).
B) Incoming Scan (This is the more accurate way). It tells you exactly how many units (50% accuracy) are coming to that target. If there are none, it will say no targets. This scan is usually done on yourself, but you can check if there are any incoming attacks on the target you want to conquer too.
57. The only way to tell if anyone has been online recently would be in the community tab under "My Alliance". It will display the time they last logged in (in ticks) the game. The game would be completely be unbalanced if you can see everyone's time of when they logged in. People would be attacking each other left and right if they know they are not on.
58. To teleport, you must have a teleport gate (does not have to be yours) and another teleport gate (also does not have to be yours). You can travel between those two gates instantly to cut time. It takes energy. If you, yourself, have the teleport structure built, you may build your own teleport gates and teleport to your own colony from a gate or another colony in your alliance with the structure built. Yes you can do this in fantasy. Just to answer any future questions about fantasy, fantasy is the same as Earth and Mars. They just have different unit names, structure names, and outpost names.
59. If someone conquers a colony, that colony cannot be conquered if it is already conquered by someone else, so it would not reset the tick counter to 0 (wait 72 more ticks). To answer the 72 tick question, it would be yes and no. After 72 ticks when you have been conquered, you may rebel, which you will wait 24 ticks making no resources for that duration, and then become unconquered. Some players don't do that because of the no resource production. Some players do because they don't want to pay tax (better in the long term). The only problem with this is, if you get attacked and defeated at your colony (just like getting conquered) by anyone, your rebellion will cease, and you must wait 72 ticks before you may rebel again. So only rebel when you think you are safe, or you have enough units to defend yourself against an attack.
60. Archers are ranged units, in mass numbers, any range unit will demolish other non-ranged units. So you usually have a mix between armored units (it's basically cannon fodder, to take the hits) and ranged units. Just to make these kind of realism question clear. The game runs on it's own battle system and all that stuff. So walls and all that stuff do not make a difference in battles. Only the units do.
