The description says this particular unit can engage up 16 units simultaneously. Is this real or just a BD flashy description?

It's just a flashy description, otherwise those Ranged units would be pretty overpowered.

It's just aesthetic. If the descriptions really lived up to their content, the units would be way too overpowered, I mean 16 units at once?

A battle round has 3 stages, range attack, damage attack, armor attack.
so the only advantage they have is they attack earlier.
But if you look at price/HP/Damage all units are just as good....
