To add to that, ive found damage has carry over (correct if wrong?)

But say you have 2 units left, 1 with 2 hp and one with 6 hp. If the other side has 1 unit that deals 8 damage, it will kill both units

Dont bother with damage noone uses it outside of the early rounds. Only go range and armor. I gave u the build that everyone who has won an era has used

All damage carries over, this is not specific to damage units.

I don't think he was referring to "Damage units" i think he was speaking of damage as any "loss of HP" and stating that it carries over. which is in fact a weakness of infantry units. Because since they die easier they get less shots in battle. For example...

I have 9 Range infantry units and 3 armor infantry units. For a total of 60 HP. If during the course of the battle I take.... 48 damage. I would be left with 3 range infantry units. *Who do get EXP but lets be honest they're not going to live for too long* $ Worth 600 metal $

OR

I have 3 Range heavy units and 1 Armour heavy unit. Again we're looking at 60 HP. And during the course of the battle I take 48 damage. I'm left with 2 range heavy units *who also get a nice bit of EXP and will be around long enough for it to matter* $ Worth 1200 metal $

and that's just the result of the battle. This happens every round during the course of the battle where instead of having a tank fire a shot doing 12 damage to the enemy, you have a situation where only 1 or 2 infantry guys (3 is the value of a tank) made it through and they only do 4 or 8 damage to your enemy.

So any round in a battle that I have where I see I have a number of infantry guys that isn't divisible by 3 evenly. I refer to the damage missing as "Tank Loss"

While I know 4 or 8 damage doesn't sound like a lot. If your opponent is using cavalry or infantry you're looking at a potential 24 damage difference due to their units that have been killed. *(*And that's without adding ANY Chassis or weapon bonuses!*)* Compounded over a battle that lasts 3 rounds you're looking at nearly an entire squad of damage difference! (Because now they get even less shots per round, and you get even more, just doing 24 x 3 isn't correct)

If you can keep up with that, you'll see why in my opinion the battle system is very fair and balanced. And with the addition of EXP. Tanks are superior. (but the difference is not overwhelming by any means) :ugeek:

I'll look into 33% vs 25% and let you all know which it is ultimately supposed to be.

Update:
Apparently it is 25%, but it isn't damage that changes. Vehicles have 25% less HP when fighting infantry and tanks have 25% less HP when fighting vehicles.

I've updated the front post accordingly.

So how is this dealt with when multiple chasis are present? Lets say I have 1 infantry ranged and I have the rest tanks. I am going up against vehicles Do all the vehicles get lowered by 25% health or only the one the infantry hits or it regains that 25% hitpoints because I didn't kill it with my infantry?

I know it is kind of a necro post but someone else did it before me :D.

The 25% bonus is only considered regarding the infantry unit. Soo, as long as that infantry unit survives, when it is firing at the vehicles, it will only have to take away 75% of each vehicle's usual health.

The tanks, however, will have to deal with the normal health of the vehicle. The infantry unit will not cause any reduction in vehicles HP when they are fighting tanks.

Hmm, I'm wondering if it's a bug or is damage recently able to hit at first round? I find my single damage tank killing infantries at round 1 already. o_o

The battle starts with whatever the longest range unit is. A damage tank first in round 1 if there are no range units around.

Righto. Damage units have 2 range. Which makes them pretty awesome paired with some armor. It gives them versatility, while I feel the armor units just don't have any combat prowess at all. :(

yes your right damage and 2 pair of range have the amount of firepowe to do the job but i think armored units can hold out much longer and weaken enemy units so i think armor helps but they don't have enough damage
