I have been playing this game on and off for about 5 years , for the last 2 years or so the numbers of players have massively reduced within each world and therefore so has the competition. I was wondering if we could have updates about what is being done to improve the number of players , since its been going downhill for a while. I know due to the dynamic of the game , it's hard to retain newer players , but we need thousands more players in order to make the game fun again.

TLDR: No. players declining , what's being done to improve the state of BD , oh and some form of global announcement every 2-3 weeks to show aforementioned needed updates.

It's not a bad idea. But they might be drawing a blank on how to reign them in. I would hope not though

the next step is basically an app
they are working on it
if people like the game in smartphones we may see some more people joining in

I think the diplomacy factor in this game ran off most players (sub's~massive sub familys). its not Fun.

What is more fun than your team Dominating an erra without any help what so ever from allys or sub's ? nothing

Each team should be trying everything to be the winner , there can be only one we used to say alot back in the day and we loved every grueling tick of it .

New players ? why would a new player want to stick around after watching a month or more from his conquered colony 2 massivesub familys fighting each other ??
Not to mention how unbalanced the game is especialy for new players , what is fun about that ??

Diplomacy is a big part of the game , i just think its a weed that needs pulling or at least trimmed down. Bring back the days where diplomacy was our squads mowing across the lands & feeding off the tax's & tears and screams of the conquered in our wake . forget this friendly bob crap its killing the game .

Good luck to the staff if they can ever figure out how to fix that problem, i know how hard they have tried but nothing has worked to stop sub familys in the past . how do you fix it without altering the game ? who knows ? but i hope they find a way through this mess because there is no game out there like BD , not even close.

I would like to see somethings come back to BD like it was when i joined , bountys for instance was mad fun , specially if you got a bounty placed on you. non~stop invasion's to gather conquers for tax res's (used 2 be a decent player would have hundreds of conquers now lucky to see top players with 5 conquers and winning erra's off that ???), non stop op spamming for res's (now days expect adm. to warn you about banning for harrasment or spamming) . just alot of fun you dont see anymore. and you pretty much would only get banned for multi colonys , farming conquers was an issue (friend places colony on world for you to conquer) op's (friend joins world to be conquered and build ops) , abusing the bounty system ect... but it was FUN !!! , And Blue Tokens .. you voted for em or found some in a wreckage , they were HARD to come by ,not givin away for losing rounds ..pfft !!!

No i think the players carry most the blame here fo this situation, even with all the changes to the game itself that some i liked and helped support but mostly i didnt agree with alot of changes .. but still this gang mentality sub family dominating mindset has to be the first and biggest problem delt with.Either enhance the game to deal with huge clans orrr do away with it somehow by making it nearly impossible for teams to hug each other .

My salution to this problem ? make one massive epic new world , dump everyone in it , no multicolonys , 1 winning team and a top player .

thats my 2 cents for what its worth.

How about we get some more special events/rounds, not only during christmas and seeing the pictures of the soldiers having a christmas theme.
Like whats been written on the BattleWiki: http://wiki.battledawn.com/index.php?ti ... ial_Events

*********************************************************
Special rounds are usually run by the admin, there are given scenarios and he challenges the alliances on the world to complete them. Some special themed rounds are listed below with a little description:

-Kashira Event-
Alien Invasion - a full alliance of hostile colony's pops up and has no greater desire than to see the world crumble beneath them.

-Zombie Event-
Zombie Invasion - Much like the Kashira Event, Spread out colony's each leaders of the invasion for there continent send out super units and regular "Zombie Units" Out to destroy you.

-Clones Event-
Clone Inavasion- Upcoming Event on M2 more details will be available soon.
*********************************************************

I have only seen a Zombie event once during my play on BD.
These events are fun enough to mix it up and make the game more diversified (now its getting kind of boring playing the same game on the same way with the same allies and the same enemies).

Announce it in your BD Paper a few weeks or months before so people can prepare for it and may attract new (or former old) players (back) into the game.

The way I see it, there are enough good ideas, but not much initiative to make it happen, sadly.

People are pitching so many special ideas that it illustrates just how messed up BD has become: our community feels we need such outrageous new things that just HAVE to capture our attention so the ship doesn't sink. Sorry guys, but when we're at this point the ship is dining with the Titanic. Special events aren't going to make this game great again. We need regular gameplay to improve, to the point where we don't need special events to bail us out. How? I could go on and on pitching ideas, but unfortunately I have before and they've gone unheard and so many others have been unheard too. In my honest opinion, BattleDawn is just sad now. And it has been for quite a while. It's just a lot of people having realized it over the years that's made the rest of the community notice and care.

I'm telling you, mobile app is the way forward. it's gonna bring so much traffic to the original and even if it doesnt you have a brand new version of BD to play that hasn't lost it's initial hype.

I know I'll be checking it out

Sorry, but you need to get people interested in the tree to get them interested in a branch.

I dont think the problem is with the battle dawn game itself it is with the population being too low for it to work so then surely renewed hype from the app and a population surge would be exactly the solution you're looking for
