It kinda seems like if you have a wall of ranged heavy and defensive heavy units then your some what unstopable.

Is this correct or is their something I'm missing?

The only counter to an attack like this I see is a army of defensive/heavy/(doesn't matter) and ranged/calvary/smashing units. I calibrate gold and army size into this as well.

I'm trying to grasp the concept of how battle works and whats most effecive.

As a side note is their a calculator for fantasy servers?

there is no special calculator for fantacy, but values are the same so u can use the normal one ;)
and armor/range is the best mix, i use 30% armor 70% range, most people use a mix close to that, atleast most top people :)

Ahh I see, but that seems to make the system defeat it's self. It completely throws out the need for any damaging units?

We'll yes but as said before ranged work exceptionally well at killing things too. As we all know newbs aren't much of a threat as it is though. :D

As a side note can you explain the damage bonuses coming from certain weapons and unit type?

For instance if I have a calvary/smashing/damage, how much is the advantage on say a heavy/smashing/damage.

In short what do weapons types attribute twords that specific unit type, and how does that stack with the 25% damage increase. Also do they attack each other at the same time or does one unit go first for some specific reason?

well, i'll try to explain

concusive 100% toward inf, 50% toward veh 25% towars tanks
beam 100% toward veh, 50% toward tanks 25% towars inf
explosive 100% toward tanks, 50% toward inf 25% towars veh

then after that you add the 25% bonus :)
