I made this for a tribune which didn't work out.. Took time to write it though so enjoy;)
What makes a good alliance leader?
One of the most important aspects to an alliance is who's leading the alliance
The alliance leader is responsible for the alliance, everything related to your alliance is your responsibility. The alliance leader can delegate jobs to a few select members (ie ministers). When it comes down to it though your alliance is only as good as its leader. So we ask the question what makes a good alliance leader?
First off as Ourania said "Leading is hardwork" if your not up for it you shouldn't be leading.
1) Honor - having your members and you trust each other where they want to follow you to victory or to a glorious defeat is key to any leader.
2) Communication - having all your members on Skype, having their numbers in case of emergencies, keeping all your members and allies on the same page, and keeping them feeling confident is important for any leader.
3) Diplomacy - This one is semi optional. Some alliances can get away with running completely solo, most of these alliances plan out their diplomacy with a nap here or there though. Being able to make allies with the right people and knowing who you'll have to beat for whatever your goals are for an era is a skill every leader should have.
4) Proactive - Being one of if not the most active members of your alliance, having a lot of ops for your alliance, and as a consequence to your activity etc having a good rank. People say try don't judge by the cover, but they do, and your the cover of your alliance represent your members well
5) Selfless - The greatest among you shall also be the least, Jesus said something along those lines and it means as the leader you are to serve those who serve you. You make sacrifices for your members to keep your alliance happy and to build trust. You'll be the one to build and op when the alliance needs it. Not all leaders have this, but more often than not, some of the best do.
6) Peacemaker - Being able to solve bickering in your own alliance and keeping everyone happy and united is a vital part of being a leader.
7) Planning - Having the ability to sense when an opportunity is present for the win. Knowing who to ally and having the ability to completely out play your opponents.
8) knowing - Knowing what your alliance is capable of is your job as an alliance leader. If your alliance can't win against another alliance for whatever it is your job as the leader to change that in whatever way you have to. I've learned this one the hard way.
If you're able to do all of these you should be a great leader. If you lack a few of these skills you now know what to work on;).
Until next time
